- As I posted on the board tonight, Football Scoop is reporting that Beau Baldwin will be the Beavers next head coach... Once that news hit the internet, a source of mine in Berkeley confirmed right away that they heard the same a few hours before the Football Scoop report.
- Asked my source how certain it was that Baldwin is OSU's coach. Response was "90%"
- I'm told that the staff at Cal already knows that Baldwin is taking the Oregon State job. Pretty interesting development... again, if true
- This is my guess on how it happened, assuming that the Baldwin news is true: Oregon State had interest and wanted him, other P5/G5 head coaches expressed interest but nothing really came of it, so Oregon State went back with Baldwin.

- I've been on the Beau Baldwin train all the way. Everything I've been told was very pro-Baldwin getting the job. And the fact that Eggers was reporting Baldwin as the favorite made me feel comfortable with the vibe Baldwin would be the guy. But then I got a note Thanksgiving morning that OSU was targeting a sitting head coach and posted about that on Friday morning. Turns out the source was probably wrong. My apologies about that.
