Then you lose by a little. Then you win by a little then you win big.
That was my expectation coming into the Michigan game. I know a lot of people are upset in this game but I see a lot of positives. Compare this team to the 2011 OSU beavs. That team went 3-9. First they lost to a less than stellar SCSU team. Then they got destroyed by a Wisconsin team that at that point in the season we didn't know how good they were going to be.
Both teams are/were young.
Here are the differences I see.
1. The Beavs won against Weber State.
2. They actually competed against Michigan for a half. I don't know if anyone else remembers that Wisconsin game but ugly didn't describe it. They weren't in that game for a minute let alone a half.
3. Defensively they have been much much better.
4. Offensively there have been flashes, I don't remember many that were meaningful in the 2011 season.
I am pumped for the future of this team but this year's going to have some awful moments but it's also going to have some great ones. Personally I think we have already seen both. But Anderson doesn't just build teams he builds programs and this program needs both. If he can have this team consistently competing throughout this season that is a huge win.
