Eggers on Portland Event last night

Eggers did a quick write up on the BBQ with the Beavs last night up here in Portland. Big take away is this staff and new AD wants to make Portland events a priority.

"Portland is the epicenter of Beaver Nation," Stansbury, OSU's new athletic director, told a group of about 200 who gathered for a barbecue and meet-and-greet at Dr. Jack's in the Rose Quarter. "We're going to be in Portland all the time, and not just for events. … I'll be here every Thursday. I believe we have to be present in Portland on a regular basis."

Andersen said the Beavers failed in an attempt to put together a scrimmage session at Nike headquarters this spring, but promised that will happen next year.

As a Portland Beaver, I am very excited to hear this kind of stuff.
