Corvallis placed fourth behind Miami (OH), State College (PN) and Chapel Hill (NC). Laramie (WY), San Luis Obispo (CA) and Bozemen (MT) were the only other western colleges in the top 10.

It might not mean much - using "city" instead of "town" might be preferable while selling the program to HS recruits. Then again it might not...
