I liked the fact we stuck with Collins and had him play through the whole second half. He needs to learn the passing game and I don't think our coaches see a bright future in the other QB's at this moment. Collins is locking in on receivers and doesn't see wide open backs/receivers. As was mentioned below the swing pass showed up tonight and he did better. However, you could see backs open down the middle (like Nall) and he just sticks with only the primary receiver. I think that is all learning he has to go through if he is going to become a premier QB in college Next year we have proven transfer and Moran coming is so I would let Collins learn...
Example he has to learn from that pick six in 2nd half. He threw off his back foot and never really settled in to throw. The receiver was wide open for a touchdown and he just needed to put it out there for him. Great play call that he just couldn't execute and it really looked like it should be pretty straight forward throw for a td.
