Doing my daily scroll through Twitter and found not one but two tweets that show how improved the Beavers Defense is.
Yds per game allowed against P5 Opponents (Pac 12 only) - OSU #1 at 361.3
Top passing defenses in QB rating - (All Conferences) 2 Pac 12 teams listed in top 20: OSU at #11 and USC at #20
The one article specifically gave stats from 3 years ago when we were giving up over 500 total yds per game and was ranked at the bottom of all P5 programs. It talked about the significant progress OSU has made specifically on the DL and Secondary. I know there is continual chatter on this board about the DL and the need to improve. We do need to continue to improve but we have to applaud this coaching staff for the efforts so far in recruiting and more importantly developing players. That cesspool down south has had top 10 recruiting classes and numerous 4-5 ** recruits for 5 years now and are nowhere to be seen on either list.
I'm not content, but I'm Dam proud of this team from players to coaches to support staff. New stadium, a student fanbase that is getting more and more engaged....can only get better.
