A couple of weeks or so ago-posted a report that I had a conversation with a gentlemen that turned out to be the uncle or cousin of Jared Mayden And that Coach Lockette had coached this person in high school and that while at Utah, Coach Andersen had recruited him and because of the obvious ties to the OSU staff, that Jared was very high on the Beavs and that our chances of landing him were good.
Had another conversation with him today and unfortunately things have apparently chanced. Was told that Jared has alrealdy verbally committed but that he does want it be public until the Nike Camp which is held sometime this summer. Said that he had reduced down to the ucks,florida state and one other that I do not remember. I kiddingly told him it had better not be the ucks and he just kinda laughed. My impression is that the ucks will be his choice.
If true-really bummed out. Had Jared in my top 5 and really wanted him to become a Beav
