Last Game

Oregon State swept No. 11 Stanford Sunday via a 7-0 series-finale victory at Sunken Diamond. The win sent Oregon State to its 19th straight win, setting a school record. Jake Thompson spun seven scoreless innings, and Adley Rutschman homered and drove in three runs to pace the Beavers offensively. Cadyn Grenier capped off the win with a solo home run in the ninth. Thompson struck out six and improved to 6-0 on the year, tying for the league lead in wins. The win marked Oregon State’s fourth consecutive sweep in conference play dating back to 2016.

Five More To Another Record

Oregon State’s next record for consecutive wins would be at 24, which would surpass Arizona State’s conference record of 23 set in 1988. The NCAA record is 34 games, set by both Florida Atlantic in 1999 and Texas in 1977.


During The Streak

Oregon State has out-scored opponents 124-37. The Beavers have reached double-digit runs four times, and have held opponents to two runs or less 12 times. Six of the 19 wins have come against top-25 teams.


Madrigal To 17 Games

Nick Madrigal led off Sunday’s game with a single and in the process extended his hit streak to a career-long 17 games. He is 30-for-71 (.423) with 17 runs scored, 12 runs batted in, nine walks, five doubles and two home runs during it.

Tuesday’s game will be the eighth true road game for OSU - and 16th away from Goss Stadium including eight neutral-site games. Oregon State has allowed 24 earned runs in 146 innings away from Goss, an ERA of 1.60.
