The defense for sure needs to clean up some stuff from the Cal game. Didn't help to be missing 4 starters in the first half. For next weekend, UCLA won't run like Cal can and does. I watched the 'Cougs shit the bed in Pasadena and here are my takeaways:
1. Get to Dante. The kid has arm talent, but he is a Freshman and looks like it, especially when pressured.
2. Run the ball...right at Latu. The reason he was so disruptive against the 'Cougs is because, well...he's good! Also, they pass 90% of the time so he just pins his ears back.
3. Break the man of Steele. He isn't that good. He is slow but runs behind his pads and can be a load. So let's get two and even three hats to the ball.
4. Reser. This is another big game, folks. Let's pack the house and make a difference! Don't be doddling around on Beaver Street like "Wow. They have Hop Valley at that kiosk." Get off your hands and make noise when it's time to.
